It Is Destructive And Suicidal To Return APC To Power – Northern Awareness Initiative

It is suicidal and destructive, according to a group of northerners led by Prof. Usman Yusuf, the former head of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Mahdi Shehu, and Ladan Salihu of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), to allow the All Progressives Congress (APC) to retake power in 2023.
The group Northern Awareness Initiative made the announcement on Sunday in Kano at a news conference, stating the same would happen throughout the north in the coming days to inform the populace about the need of ousting the current APC.
According to data from the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics, the organization also accused the APC-led Federal Government of causing over 130 million Nigerians to fall into poverty over the previous eight years (NBS).They also mentioned the neglect of 20 million youngsters who are not in school.
The current administration promised to fight corruption, secure the country, and boost the economy eight years ago, yet all of their actions to date have been the exact reverse.
“I’m from Katsina, and bandits have taken control of one-third of my state. Before the election of this government, we had never seen IDPs in Katsina. There are a lot of IDPs in my state’s capital.”
“We cast 1.2 million ballots for President Buhari in the most recent elections, but what do we have to show for it? ruin and death.”What do you have to show for the 1.8 million votes Kano gave him?
The eight years of APC administration in the whole north have produced nothing."Poverty has not been as prevalent in former years as it is now."133 million Nigerians are currently living in multidimensional poverty, according to the National Bureau of Statistics. We have reached a point where the President is blaming the governors for poverty, which is something we have never seen before.
Ladies and gentlemen, we did not give him the presidency so that he could point the finger at others. You’re blaming someone else now that the game is done, right?”They have failed, and so has the APC government.Fighting corruption; under this administration, there have been a lot more corruption charges.
Since he hasn’t taken on corruption or strengthened the economy, things are worse now, and the level of insecurity is at an all-time high.Prof. Yusuf stated, “We are, therefore, telling our people that it will be suicidal for anyone to vote APC into power again.”
