“God Will Never Give Power To The Wicked,” Wike Replies Okowa And Tambuwal

On Saturday, Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike declared that those who are “wicked” and who would quickly sell off Nigeria would not be given power by God.

The governor started work on the Ogbo-Ihugbogbo Road in the state’s Ahoada East Local Government Area by saying,

“We can never play God because we know the role that God has played in our lives.””Don’t use deception to get control…God won’t ever give the wicked authority, according to Wike.

The governor made the veiled reference and remark in response to recent utterances made by the governors of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa, and Sokoto State, Aminu Tambuwal.

Okowa, who is Atiku Abubakar’s running mate for the presidency in 2023, spoke at a rally in Delta on Friday. He asserted that neither the G5 nor anybody else can prevent God from giving the party victory in the upcoming election.

The G5 or Integrity Group is made up of five disgruntled PDP governors and is headed by Wike. Governors Seyi Makinde of Oyo, Samuel Ortom of Benue, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu, and Okezie Ikpeazu are other group members (Abia).

The G5 and Atiku have been at odds since the party’s presidential primaries in May, and the G5 has demanded Iyorchia Ayu, the PDP’s national chairman, quit in exchange for a southern replacement before it will support Atiku’s ten-year dream. In response to Okowa’s remarks, Wike stated that the G5 had divine support, which explains why the organization keeps getting stronger.
