Gunmen Attack Ohakim’s Convoy, Killing Four Policemen

Yesterday, gunmen ambushed the motorcade of Mr. Ikedi Ohakim, a former governor of Imo state, and killed four police officers.

At Oriagu in the Imo state’s Ehime Mbano Local Government Area, Ohakim, who presided as governor of Imo from 2007 and 2011, was attacked. Ohakim was reportedly returning from a visit with two of his children when the shooters opened fire.
According to a source close to the former governor, the driver’s quickness was what allowed the ex-governor to flee.
The former governor was the main target, but his driver was clever enough to outsmart them because they were driving to block him, the reliable source claims.
