When PDP supporters were involved in a car accident on their way back from a zonal campaign rally in the state’s Pankshin Local Government Area on Saturday in Plateau State, the Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, reported 16 fatalities and 83 injuries.
The accident occurred on Saturday, according to RC Peter Longsan, Public Enlightenment Officer for FRSC Plateau State, who verified this in a statement on Sunday.
The statement claims that 99 PDP supporters who were headed to a demonstration were involved in the accident, but only 16 of them died and 83 suffered various degrees of injuries.
The statement revealed that the injured people were transferred to hospitals in Panyam and Mangu Town, both in the Mangu LGA.
