“I Work With Tinubu; We Own Nigeria, I’m A Federal Govn’t Liability” – Singer Portable, Says As Police Storm Bar To Arrest Him

The singer for Zazu Zeh was seen defying the police’s authority as they tried to remove him from the scene, which was documented on his verified Instagram profile.
The Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, got into a heated argument with the police officers who raided his pub to take him into custody on Tuesday.
The singer for Zazu Zeh was seen defying the police’s authority as they tried to remove him from the scene, which was documented on his verified Instagram profile.
The cops were questioned by Portable about his offense and their identification cards were also requested. Also, he rejected the police’s attempts to stop him by claiming his popularity and status as a superstar.
One of the officers claimed that they were called to make the singer’s arrest due to a petition against him. He was informed by the officers that he is not above the law and cannot direct how they should conduct themselves.
The musician said,
“I am a celebrity and I work for APC, you don’t have any right to walk into my office and tell me that I am under arrest.” “I am a Federal Government liability. I work with the government too. I work with APC. Akoi Tinubu (Okay Tinubu). Nah we get Nigeria now. Nah we dey control Nigeria,” the singer added.
His relationship to the ruling All Progressives Congress may be connected to his claim that he was paid to promote the APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, in June 2022.
He could be seen pleading with Nigerians to support Tinubu in the 2023 presidential election in the video that was uploaded on social media pages.
But, Khan retaliated against his detractors, claiming that he was merely carrying out his duty because the ruling party had paid him to back its candidates.
“If they pay you money, you have to work. I was once paid to insult Tinubu during the protests. That was a long time ago. Now, APC has said Akoi Tinubu.
“If they pay you, do your job, no ripping. When I was asked to insult Tinubu, I collected my money and did my job. Now Tinubu is the next. They’re the ones that gave me money, and I must do the work for the money I collected. Akoi APC,” he said.
